Our Tenants

Wessmaps Housing Trust has a specialist housing team that will consider referrals from vulnerable groups that meet the aims of the charity and our charitable objectives. We specialise in providing secure and sustainable homes in partnership with the tenant groups outlined below:

  • Adults With Learning Disability

Our team specialises in housing adults with learning disability. Working with the tenant and their personal care team to source a property that will enable and empower our tenants to live independently

  • Acquired Brain Injury

The Wessmaps housing team will use their expertise to help and support our tenants with acquired brain injury to make their own decisions regarding their home. To ensure our tenants thrive in their community

  • Autistic Spectrum Disorders

Our housing team at Wessmaps provides a supportive planning process and reasonable personalised adjustments to work with our tenants with autism and Asperger’s as it is important to us that they are empowered to choose the right home

  • Physical Disability

The Wessmaps specialist housing team works in partnership with our tenants with physical disability and their occupational health teams, to access disabled facilities and disabled facilities grants. Disabled facilities grants can help with necessary adaptions to make a home accessible, facilitating everyday tasks allowing our tenants to live independently
